In 2023, the International Scientific Committee of the European Conference on Plasma Diagnostics established the “ECPD Prize Award for Outstanding Achievements in Plasma Diagnostics”. The prize will be awarded every two years at the ECPD conference to a researcher who has made outstanding contributions to the field of plasma diagnostics.
Eligibility and Nomination Process
The prize is open to researchers who have made significant contributions to the advancement of plasma diagnostics. Nominations should be submitted by members of the plasma community through the Indico website.

Each nomination must include the following documents:
- Nomination letter outlining the nominee’s impact on plasma diagnostics (maximum 1 page).
- Letters of recommendation supporting the nominee’s candidacy.
- Curriculum Vitae of the nominee, including key publications (maximum 2 pages).
The International Scientific Committee will evaluate the nominations and select the award winner.
Prize Details
The award consists of:
- A certificate of recognition.
- A monetary award of 1 000 EUR.
- Free registration and accommodation for the ECPD conference.
The winner commits to give a 30 min presentation at the ECPD conference. Travel are not covered and born to the prize winner.
