Description

Tungsten coated mock-ups for developing the Plasma facing component (PFC) werefabricated and tested in the plasma torch and high heat flux test facility with electron beam,which can be used in the repair of the damaged PFCs. For evaluating the life-time of the tungsten coated mock-up, the erosion rate was measured and thermal-lifetime analyses were performed with the fabricated mock-up. And the results were compared with the HIPped (Hot isostatic pressing) mock-ups. Thermal-hydraulic and thermo-mechanical analysis with the conventional codes such as ANSYS-CFX and ANSYS-mechanical were performed to evaluate the thermallifetime according to the thickness of the amour material.
