This Summerschool will cover selected, rapidly developing cutting edge topics of advanced quantum mechanics (nonhermitian formalism, quantum phase transitions, subtle QED and electroweak effects in atoms, current experimental techniques in atomic and optical physics). The summerschool is dedicated primarily to PhD students; the courses assume only basic (MSc type) knowledge of quantum mechanics. The school will provide both lectures and practical courses.
