Description

The 35th ITPA DivSOL TG meeting will take place in Prague, Czech Republic, Monday 21th to Thursday 24th October 2024.

Conference venue

The conference is organized at the Institute of Plasma Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences (IPP CAS), U Slovanky 1a, 18200 Prague.

Transportation

Arrival by car - Parking 

Note IPP CAS has limited parking capabilities. Therefore, it is recommended to inform the local organizing committee to reserve the parking place.

Arrival by plane - How to reach the hotel Duo from the airport:

The hotel is within one hour by public transportation from the Prague airport (e.g. see here)

From the airport (one of the possibilities)

  1. take the bus AE to its final stop Hlavni Nadrazi
  2. then, take the metro line C (red) to station Střížkov,
  3. the hotel is within 5 min walking distance from the station.

Prague public transport  - Timetable and tickets

  • Connections and timetables of the Prague public transport.
  • Public transport tickets can be purchased in orange selling machines marked by labels "Public transport tickets" (cards accepted at the airport). Ticket for a 90 min at 40 CZK, or 30 min at 30 CZK for adults can be chosen.

Recommended hotel

We have reserved 60 rooms at the hotel Duo located 20 min walking distance from the IPP CAS, or one stop by metro. A special rate is set for the ITPA meeting participants. Registered participants will receive an e-mail with the reservation link. Alternatively, they can can access the hotel reservation link in the section "Reservation at the Hotel Duo" (requires indico account). 

Lunches

70 places are reserved at the nearest canteen (Slovanka) from 13:15 p.m. Alternatively, there is a large number of restaurants near to the Metro station Ladvi.
