Dear colleagues,
we cordially invite you to the 6th Runaway Electron Meeting (REM-2018) that will be organised as a satellite meeting of the 45th EPS Conference on Plasma Physics from 28th to 30th June 2018 in Prague, the Czech Republic.
Venue
The meeting will take place in the building of the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague. The building is located in Břehová street, at the right bank of the Vltava river, Old town quarter. The Old Jewish Cemetery, where the creator of Golem lies (of the clay monster, not of the tokamak) is located right at the opposite side of the street.
Accommodation
This year no accommodation is provided, so please book a hotel room on your own - there is a list of hotels at the EPS web page and the hotels might be available also before the EPS conference itself, but please check the options in advance. Although the end of June is usually pretty busy in Prague, there should always be some free rooms at Booking.com or AirBnB.
Accessibility of the meeting venue
The FNSPE Building in the Břehová street is easily accessible by
- Metro (A - green line, "Staroměstská" station, good connection from the airport)
- Tram (line 17 "Právnická fakulta" or "Staroměstská” stop - direct connection to the location of the EPS Conference; line 18)
- Several bus lines (207, ...)
- Car - parking in the location may be difficult but there is an underground garage nearby
- The walk between the EPS CPP and REM venues is a good tip for anybody who wants to enjoy great views of the Prague castle.
Registration
The registration is open at the meeting indico web page https://indico.ipp.cas.cz/event/9/registration/register. Please note that it is first necessary to create an acount at the ipp indico and then fill the remaining information to the registration form. In the case that you attended the meeting last year or you have an active account at COMPASS, the username and the password remain the same. In case of any trouble do not hesitate to contact us on the email below. A forgotten password may be easily changed by the link bellow the login table.
Please note that the registration is not restricted to the EPS participants only.

Contributions
Less formal talks, approximately 15' + 10' discussion. The length may be slightly amended depending on the number of participants. Any topic related to runaway electrons is welcome (theory, modelling, experiments, data analysis, diagnostics development, mitigation systems, coordination of scientific projects, etc.).
Fees
The regular meeting fee (including lunches and the conference dinner on Friday) is set to 150€, the student fee is 100€.
